I only started listening to them 6 years ago but for some reason, hearing their songs makes me feel nostalgic and takes me back to the mid-late 2000s. I'm guessing it's the chord progression and the instruments+effects they use in their songs which are very reminiscent of that time period as far as popular music genre is concerned.
